If you were expecting a groundbreaking design for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S24, you might find yourself a bit disappointed. Unofficial renders of the forthcoming phone, shared by SmartPrix in collaboration with prominent leaker OnLeaks, reveal a device that closely resembles this year’s Galaxy S23. It retains a squared-off design and lacks a distinct camera bump around its three raised camera lenses.
According to this leaked information, any visible alterations appear to be minimal. SmartPrix reports that the Galaxy S24 is marginally taller and thinner than its predecessor, the S23. The overall screen size is said to be slightly larger, measuring 6.17 inches diagonally compared to the S23’s 6.1 inches. On the rear of the phone, three camera lenses remain visible, rumored to have the same resolutions as the S23: a 50-megapixel main camera, a 12-megapixel ultrawide lens, and a 10-megapixel telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom capability.
Notably, leaker Ice Universe suggests that the Galaxy S24’s screen is likely to offer a 1080p resolution with a peak brightness of 2500 nits. The battery is expected to have a capacity of 4,000mAh, with a maximum fast charging speed of 25W.
Regarding the processor, it’s highly probable that the US models will receive a spec bump with Qualcomm’s 2024 flagship processor, likely to be named the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. However, SamMobile reports that Samsung may revert to using its own Exynos processor for other global markets after exclusively utilizing Snapdragon for the Galaxy S23.

Rumors also hint at a potential earlier release date for the Galaxy S24 compared to its last two flagships. Leaker Ice Universe has recently mentioned a January 18th release date prediction for the Galaxy S24, as reported by 9to5Google.
