Unveiling Google Pixel Fold 2: Embracing the Power of Tensor G4 Chipset, Expected Launch in October

Rumors suggest that Google’s upcoming Pixel Fold smartphone could skip the Tensor G3 chipset in favor of the advanced Tensor G4. Set to power the highly anticipated Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro, slated for an October release, the Pixel Fold 2 might join the league of devices featuring this cutting-edge chipset.

Originally unveiled at last year’s Google I/O conference in May, expectations were high for the successor to debut around the same time this year. However, if the speculations hold true, it seems the launch timeline might differ.

Considering the historical performance of Google’s Tensor chipsets, opting for a more refined chipset for the new Fold model could prove to be a strategic move. Moreover, reports suggest that the Pixel Fold 2 is undergoing testing with a substantial 16GB RAM capacity, surpassing any previous Pixel models. Additionally, it is rumored to boast UFS 4.0 storage, offering improved performance over its predecessor’s UFS 3.1 storage.

While leaks surrounding the Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro have surfaced, the absence of Pixel Fold 2 leaks could serve as an intriguing hint, potentially affirming today’s speculations.
