WhatsApp Permanently Blocked from October 24, 2023 – Which Phones Are Affected?

WhatsApp will no longer be usable on phones with Android operating systems below version 5.0 starting from October 24, 2023.

This policy is implemented because the popular instant messaging application will no longer provide support to phones using outdated operating systems.

As a result, only phones with Android operating systems version 5.0 or newer will be able to access WhatsApp.

WhatsApp users with phones running on outdated operating systems have been receiving notifications since September 24th.

These notifications appear within the WhatsApp application and prompt users to upgrade their phones to a more recent operating system.

WhatsApp encourages its users to promptly upgrade their phones to a newer operating system to continue using the application.

Users can upgrade their phones through official app stores such as the Google Play Store or the App Store. This policy will certainly affect WhatsApp users who are still using phones with outdated operating systems.
